Budapest´s Sziget Festival announced their headliners this year earlier than ever and it made it´s impact on sales immediately – daily tickets are close to becoming sold out while  5-day passes are already not available for a few weeks now.

Although, we can expect a fully sold out festival in 2018 – again -, but there’s nothing to worry about even if you missed your chance: Sziget´s certified partner Tickehing is the best place to buy or sell tickets in a safe and transparent way online.

Lana Del Rey and Kendrick Lamar will perform for the first time in Hungary at this yearʼs Sziget. Also on the program are Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons, Dua Lipa, Kygo, Arctic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher, Shawn Mendes and many many more. The organisers are expecting half a million people this year again with sold-out days and weekly passes which will increase the risk of fake tickets sold as well.

After the seller uploads the tickets to Tickething.com we make an automatic check on it´s originality through an API call. The buyer then gets a completely new ticket – to avoid the possibility of selling duplicates – and the originally uploaded ticket gets invalidated by Sziget. The seller gets his money on the following workingday and the buyer can have the time of his/her life on the best festival of Europe (oh yeah, it’s official!). You can see the whole process on the picture below:

That´s how the secure API connection between Sziget and Tickething is working

Using the above process you can buy and sell tickets with no hassle at all: as a buyer you get a new and verified ticket, as a seller you get your money guaranteed.

This special partnership between one of the biggest festivals in Europe, Sziget and the fast growing global fan-to-fan marketplace Tickething was already acknowledged by ticketing industry experts, like Tim Chambers, who tweeted about it on Twitter:

Tickething already announced some local partnerships in Hungary and Austria, and recently launched it´s worldwide Control Your Secondary Market campaign, which allows organisers to create their own ticket resale rules on Tickething. Organisers can setup a plug and play API connection(like with Sziget) to ensure a safe fan-to-fan ticket exchange experience, they can enable face-value only resale or put a price cap on tickets or even limit the number of tickets sold by each person.
